Office atmosphere is so important from the point of view of the workers’ efficiency. Planning an office primarily attention should be paid on colors. They directly affect the inner atmosphere. The following simple rules should be taken into account:
• The main color should be neutral. Dark or bright colors create mental discomfort and lead to decreasing of workers’ efficiency. Of course bright colors are necessary to make an office more vivid but such tones should be added carefully.
• The second rule puts an accent on interdependence between using colors and the activity workers are occupied in. This aspect is rarely taken into account and that is a huge mistake. E.g. those who work with textual information must have something bright on the walls to turn their attention from time to time. And vise verse, designers or photographers for instance prefer calm tones to relax from saturated colors.
• The last rule is taking into account location of your office. Yellow and orange tones are suitable for offices that overlook the north while cold fresh colors should be selected for southern sides.
A color selection is sometimes more important than ordering a qualitative custom office chair but perfect atmosphere is possible to be obtained when the smallest details are well planned.
